The Annual Stone Soup Music Festival and Street Faire will take place August 26 and 27 at and around Ramona Garden Park in Grover Beach. The Festival is designed to celebrate diversity though music, food, arts and crafts. World class musicians from throughout California are scheduled to perform. Two stages ensure music flows uninterrupted from 10 am to 9:30 pm on Saturday and from 11 am to 5 pm on Sunday.

The Dune Run-Run and Walk, a 5 and 10k walk/race, will take place Saturday morning. Applications are available from the City of Grover Beach Parks and Recreation Department.

Headlining this year’s festival is Great White. Since 1982 the Great White sound has captivated audiences worldwide with crushing blues-based guitar riffs and swagger that invokes an emotional high for anyone that listens. Best known for their Grammy nominated Best Hard Rock Performance hit, “once Bitten, Twice Shy,” Great White has sold over 10 million albums worldwide, has six Top 100 Billboard hits, nine Top 200 Billboard albums, two platinum albums and clocked the tip of MTV video four times.

The Mardi Paws Dog Parade is scheduled for 11:30 am on Sunday. Dog owners are encouraged to dress their canine companions for a parade. All entries will receive a participation ribbon and awards will be given for Best Dressed, Most Original, Most Colorful and Dog/Owner Look-alike.

The festival will include a display of model trains in the Ramona Garden Center by the SLO Model Railroad Association. One of a kind food and craft vendors will line the adjoining streets. Activities for kids will be located in Ramona Garden Park.
